I am a visual artist working primarily with photography and ceramics within themes of the natural world. I have always spent a lot of time outdoors, camping in Belgium, climbing the rocks and wandering through the forests. In the summer I return to the mountains to hike for multiple days and trying to reach the highest peaks. In these landscapes I pay attention to plants I don’t recognise from home and collect small stones from streams.

Over time I have become aware of a growing sense of disconnect from the living world closer to home. City streets and daily routines can make nature feel distant or unnoticed. My current work grows from the desire to rebuild this connection. Researching lichens in the city where I live has become part of this process: finding colour, resilience and slow growth on concrete, trees and forgotten corners of urban space.

I want to show how beautiful and layered our world can be when we look more carefully. Through photography and ceramics I stay with these encounters, allowing them to take form. My intention is not to claim or idealise nature, but to witness it with attention and care, and to invite others into that same attentive way of seeing.
